A lot of streamers seem to be getting traction by playing game sound effects to mess with the streamer (particularly in horror/deception games). However, even if the sound alert is mixed to have a 'spatial' position, the streamer will quickly become accustomed to the position and volume of the alert.
Allowing viewers to 'place' an alert in 3D space would allow viewers to react to the game situation more dynamically.
