Allow for channel point redeems to be created/handled Twitch side

Feature Request

I need to create point redeem profiles on Twitch’s side to manage them with a third-party tool (in my case, streamer.bot) and to do this, I need to be able to pair sound alerts with an existing redeem rather than create/manage it on SA’s side.

That would still allow to limit redeem amount (though I’d like to add I find 10 slots max a bit limiting) but we’d have more freedom regarding management of redeems.

    Hi TheGeekno72,

    sadly, what you are requesting is not possible due to limitations on the Twitch API’s side - if a Reward is created by one Third Party, only that Third Party and the Broadcaster can edit it. If a Broadcaster creates it, no Third Party can manage it.

    Thus, if a Reward is created by streamer.bot, SoundAlerts cannot modify it. Similarly, if SoundAlerts (or you) creates it, streamer.bot cannot modify it.

    You can see this noted at https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference/#update-custom-reward - “The app used to create the reward is the only app that may update the reward.”

    As for your request for more Slots: You can join our Discord and share some funny clips with us in a Ticket and we can grant you a couple extra slots as a “thank you” - and keep an eye on our updates, as there will soon be another way!

      Yes, exactly, that’s what I’m asking for, I don't want my redeems to be edited with SoundAlerts, I want to edit them with streamer.bot, but if SoundAlerts can still read redeem list and redeem events, sound alerts could be paired with a redeem, regardless of who manages it

      Surely it’s possible to do that, reading redeem events and trigger alerts on them, right ? Channel point redeems specifically don’t have to be managed by SoundAlerts, yes ?
